A review should document the total lesion and any solid component, not collapse both into one number. A new or enlarging solid component may change the assessment even if the overall ground-glass area looks similar. Conversely, a small difference in a reported diameter needs interpretation in context rather than an immediate conclusion that cancer has spread. Ask the specialist to show which feature changed, over what interval, and how certain that conclusion is. This makes the next decision understandable and avoids confusing a radiological concern with a tissue-confirmed diagnosis.

If uncertainty remains, the team may discuss further CT surveillance, tissue sampling or surgical assessment. These options answer different questions and carry different burdens. Very small or difficult-to-reach nodules may not be straightforward biopsy targets; a limited result may not resolve uncertainty.
