Glecirasib: KRAS G12C-mutated lung cancerSeek tumour shrinkage after lung cancer progression,
with a daily oral medicine for a specific mutation.

Eligible adults with advanced KRAS G12C-mutated non-small cell lung cancer needing a change after systemic treatment may use glecirasib to seek tumour shrinkage. The Chinese phase IIb single-arm study reported a confirmed response rate of 47.9%, not an individual's success rate. Daily oral treatment still requires scheduled liver function and blood count monitoring.

After progression, turn a genetic target into a medication plan

Glecirasib is a domestically developed oral medicine commercially available in China for specific previously treated KRAS G12C lung cancer. Review genetic results, previous responses and safety with a specialist when discussing the next prescription and reassessment.

Match the medicine to the exact variant

Confirm G12C rather than another KRAS variant. Previous use of a drug in the same class requires a separate resistance assessment; a switch is not guaranteed to work.

Connect daily medication with long-term monitoring

Plan ongoing prescriptions and imaging assessment around liver function, blood counts and all concurrent medicines. Convenience does not remove the need for monitoring.

Assess the monthly burden and plan continued treatment

Use the price per box and monthly consumption reported publicly in Chongqing in 2026 as budget references. Foreign patients are fully self-funded without Chinese health insurance or free drugs; actual pack size, prescription and costs still need confirmation.

Public Chongqing report, 2026
RMB 4,000 per box; the reported patient used 3 boxes monthly
Estimate based on reported consumption
Approximately RMB 12,000 per month in drug costs; verify pack size and prescription
Baseline examinations
Pathology, KRAS testing, imaging, blood counts and biochemistry require pricing
Ongoing follow-up
Consultations, imaging, liver function and management of side effects are additional

The public report does not specify tablets per box and is not treated as a standard 30-day quote. Treatment duration varies; international consultations and travel are additional.

Finding treatment that fits you
starts with the reports you already have.

Clarifying your disease type and previous treatment helps establish whether this option could form part of a plan for you.

  • Disease and ageAdults with advanced non-small cell lung cancer and confirmed KRAS G12C.
  • Previous treatmentAt least one previous systemic treatment; this page is not a routine first-line recommendation.
  • Baseline safetyTell the doctor fully about recent immunotherapy, liver injury and other medicines.

Consider the chance of tumour shrinkage alongside drug risks

The original phase IIb paper enrolled 119 patients and observed antitumour activity. Confirmed response does not mean cure. Ongoing treatment also requires assessment of tolerance through liver function, blood counts and respiratory symptoms.

Design
Multicentre, open-label, single-arm; study dose 800mg once daily
Primary endpoint
Independently reviewed confirmed tumour response
Key monitoring needs
Raised liver enzymes and bilirubin, and anaemia; watch for new or worsening respiratory symptoms

Separate single-arm trials cannot directly establish superiority to sotorasib or adagrasib. Conditional approval still requires confirmatory studies.

Costs, potential benefit and further treatment deserve specific answers before departure.

Can I start treatment if my report says KRAS-positive?

The variant must specifically be G12C, with adult advanced non-small cell lung cancer after at least one systemic treatment. Other variants do not qualify, and these findings do not support routine first-line use.

Will glecirasib work after another G12C medicine?

There is no guarantee. Cross-resistance may limit benefit; previous response and the cause of progression must be considered. Response rates from different single-arm studies cannot directly rank drugs.

Do I still need to budget for medication after the tumour shrinks?

Treatment usually continues until progression or intolerance, with scheduled reassessment. Contact the team promptly for jaundice, marked fatigue or worsening breathlessness.
