An assessment considers prescription stability, corneal measurements, the eye surface and other eye conditions. A refractive procedure does not treat every cause of reduced vision or prevent all future eye problems.
Records for the assessment
Bring recent and previous spectacle or contact-lens prescriptions. Also include existing eye examinations, corneal measurements and operation records.
Questions for the clinical team
Ask which options are suitable and how they differ in risks, recovery and long-term follow-up. Discuss possible residual prescription, visual side effects and the chance of still needing glasses.
Confirming care and arrangements
Follow the clinic’s instructions about contact lenses before the assessment; do not choose a procedure from a price list alone. Surgery, follow-up dates and the final quotation require confirmation after examination, without a guarantee of being glasses-free.
